June has started out busy for the Highland Park Volunteer Fire Department – so busy that it took days to get a weekend roundup written up!

Our Firefighters are participating in trainings & events around the State every weekend this month.

This past weekend HPVFD participated in the Avenel Fire Department 100th Anniversay Parade & Picnic on Saturday, June 8th.  HPVFD Truck 3 was fully detailed & displayed in the parade.

On Sunday, June 9th Highland Park’s Station 37 Firehouse hosted the New Jersey Volunteer Fire Chief’s Association Meeting.

Later Sunday HPVFD Truck 3 was back in action helping fly the American Flag with River Road Fire Company’s (Piscataway NJ) Truck 656 for the “Ride for Daniel” charity bike run.

This month continues to be busy with a training planned with the Highland Park First Aid Squad and a Live Burn Training for all HPVFD Members at the Middlesex County Fire Academy.  More details & pictures coming soon.
